Advancing High-Throughput and High-Content Imaging
Cellomics and the WhiteheadÂ·MIT BioImaging Center, part of the CSBi Imaging Core, have established a collaboration to develop high-throughput and high-content imaging technologies for use in systems biology research. The use of imaging in high throughput biology such as systems biology has been limited by its qualitative rather than quantitative nature. The Cellomics integrated image acquisition/analysis system allows researchers to acquire and analyze subcellular resolution images in a 96 or 384 well format. Cellomics and the BioImaging Center are developing new systems to provide a versatile, user-friendly technology that can be deployed across campus for use by the MIT community. Some of the WI/MIT groups that help to develop this technology include the Matsudaira, Sabatini, Englewood and Lindquist labs.
